Illegal marriages have increased in regions. Registry Office departments are concerned about increasing number of marriages between teen-agers, the Office chief Semaye Mehdiyeva told APA.
She said that relatives make teenagers get married. Such marriages are increasing day after day. Teen-agers prefer illegal marriages because they do not accept rules of the marriage law. She also noted that misunderstandings in such families usually lead to divorce. Non- existence of the marriage contract makes divorce process worse. Illegal marriages also cause a lot of trouble in registration of the children.
Doctors are concerned about illegal marriages between teen-agers as well. They think that this exerts negative influence on girls becoming mothers. /APA/
