Ali Guliyev: Elmar disagreed to hide armed man in the boot of his car

26 members of the gang stand trial presided by Judge Ali Seyfaliyev.
Judge Ali Seyfaliyev said that a lawyer to Haji Mammadov Samad Aliyev solicited and asked to let Haji Mammadov to take part in the trials. Allowing the solicitation the judge said that it is important for Haji Mammadov to respect court. Mammadov asked apologized for his actions.
â€œThat day I was really ill, I could hardly breathe in the evening. The court can not be objective without Haji, because I have relation with all accused people. I want to cooperate with participants of the process,â€? he said.
Then Rafig Sefguliyev gave testimony, saying that he was interrogated in investigation on March 10, 2005, but before this he had been interrogated in Prosecutor Generalâ€™s Office and Grievous Crimes Department on criminalist Rovshan Aliyevâ€™s murder.
â€œI have known Haji more than 20 years. I know most of them since I worked in Garabulag. I went to the investigation department with Haji on Rovshanâ€™s case. That day the chief of the department received Haji. I gave testimony to the investigator after Haji went out of the room. Then Haji called me to Fayton restaurant. When I went to the restaurant Naile was also there, later Elchin came but he left after 10-15 minutes. The investigator said that the day that I gave testimony I had been in the restaurant, but I do not remember it,â€? he said.
Sefguliyev said a day before his death Rovshan Aliyev was in Garabulag.
Then Ali Guliyevâ€™s testimony was announced.
â€œIt was planned to hold operation while giving money for releasing Mejid Mammadov. That is why I told Mejidâ€™s bother Elmar to delay the meeting until we got ready. We were following Elmar, but we changed our way. Then Elmar phoned and said that the venue was changed, they asked Elmar to come near the Duzlu Lake. When we went there, there was nobody. The operation could not been realized because of lack of time. I told Elmar to hide armed man in the boot of his car, but he did not agree,â€? he said.
Then Ilukhan Yaluyevâ€™s testimony to the investigation was announced.
â€œThe official of special police called me and said that he wants to meet with me. I agreed to meet. During the meeting I was told that unknown group wants to kidnap me. For the first time I thought that the officers of NSM and Prosecutorâ€™s Office want to threaten me because of my business activity. Then I met with Zakir Nasirov and told him about happened. After it the Eldar Azizov from NSM phoned me and said that instead of keeping in the secret you called to the leader of the group engaged in kidnappings,â€? he said.
Then Haji Mammadov expressed his attitude to the displayed video tape recordings and read documents.
â€œIn displayed video tape recording of the confrontation between investigator Namig Muradov that was investigating Azerâ€™s case and Zakir Nasirov, Muradov said that Zakir asked to dismiss him from his position. But Zakir did not give this order. During Zakir and Azersigorta Mamedâ€™s confrontation, Mamed said that he had debts to people because of given money for releasing his son. He lies, he had a lot of money,â€? he said.
