Anti-Corruption Department receives 226 hotline complaints in January

APA reports that the citizens were given an 24-hour opportunity to complain on corruption cases.

Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan received 226 complaints from January 1 to 31, 2012.

The complaints were related mostly to procrastination, illegal money demand from the citizens, delaying consideration of the citizens’ application and complaints and other illegal cases.

61 of complaints were related to the activity of regional Center of Social Protection of Population of Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and zonal Medical and Social Expert Commissions, 40 – bodies of internal affairs, 19 - health, 18 – local executive bodies, 12 – activity of municipalities, 10 education and the other spheres.

At present Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan investigates 28 of these complaints.
