PACE co-rapporteurs meet Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh â€“ APA. Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europeâ€™s (PACE) Monitoring Committee Pedro Agramunt de Mora and Jozeph Debono Grech who are on a visit to Baku met with Minister of Justice, Fikrat Mammadov, the ministry told APA. Fikrat Mammadov said that Azerbaijan efficiently cooperates with the Council of Europe and he also noted significance of the National Action Program on ensuring the human rights in the country, wide implementation of the principles of humanism and protecting the human rights. The minister informed the guest about the successes achieved in the modernization of court-law system and he also appreciated the active support of the Council of Europe and other organizations in this sphere.

It was underlined that European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) of the Council of Europe and European Union assessed the judge election procedure in Azerbaijan as a positive model and recommended to other countries to use this experience. The legislation, administrative justice and the other issues were discussed during the meeting and the questions interested the guests were answered.
