Bad weather breaks traffic communication with mountainous areas of Azerbaijan’s regions

Lerik region’s residents told APA that the snowfall in the mountainous sections broke road traffic. -15… -14 C are observed at night. The road traffic is impossible because of ice-slick. The similar problem is observed in the mountainous Turkanjil village of Lankaran region. Due to icing of the main road crossing through the Osakuja village traffic on it has become dangerous. So people go 6-7 km on foot through the highway of Lankaran-Lerik to reach the district center. Representative of Chief Executive of Lankaran city on a territorial district Gunahir, Rustam Jafarov told APA’s local bureau that the use of alternative road by local residents, through the area of Lerik is temporary, Gyunahir-Tyurkendzhil highway is planned to be repaired in summer.
