State Traffic Police Office warns drivers

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Cold weather caused some problems on the highways in Azerbaijan. Department chief of the State Traffic Police Office Kamran Aliyev told APA that Baku-Guba, Baku-Shamakhy, Gendob-Yalama, Ismayilli-Mughanli highways, Aghsu passage, the roads leading to the southern and western regions had been frozen.

Kamran Aliyev said measures were being taken in connection with it.
“Sand is being spread on the roads. Traffic has not been stopped,” he said.
Department chief called on the drivers to be cautious, drive cars with snow chains, winter tires, four-wheel drive vehicles.

Chief of public affairs department of the State Traffic Police Office Vagif Asadov advised the drivers to be cautious.
“We ask the drivers to use the cars with winter tires. Usage of public transport is more advisable,” he said.

Asadov said safety measures were being taken on the roads.
The department chief asked the drivers to be cautious in Inshaatchilar avenue, MIkayil Mushfig street leading to Badamdar settlement, 3rd outside ring road, Babek avenue, Ziya Bunyadov street.
