Persons accused of beating British human rights activist and American journalist have last word in court

The judicial process on the case of Adil Tagizadeh, Roman Hasanov, Vusal Gurbanov and Nazim Huseynov, who were accused of committing violence and beating British citizen Silvia Davies and US citizen Amanda Erickson, has been continued today in Yasamal District Court. APA reports the accused had the last word in the court led by Judge Elchin Gurbanov. They held themselves guiltless and asked the judge to acquit them. Then the judge went to consultations before declaring the sentence. The process will be continued on January 27.

At night from June 15 to 16, U.S. citizen Amanda Eriksson and British citizen Sylvia Davis were attacked and beaten on Vidadi Street of Bakuâ€™s Yasamal District. The same day in connection with the occurrence it was prosecuted under Article 221.2.1 of the Criminal Code, the perpetratorsâ€™ identikit was designed and forensic-medical examination was carried out. It was determined that the crime was committed Adil Tagizadeh, Roman Hasanov, Vusal Gurbanov and Nazim Huseynov and they were arrested.
