President of Azerbaijan: â€œBy 2030, excellent subway stations should be built throughout our cityâ€

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of Bakuâ€™s Darnagul subway station, APA reports quoting â€œAzerTAcâ€ news agency.

In general, according to the approved program until 2015 six additional subway stations should be built in Baku. This is a very large program. Of course, building for a short time additional 6 stations requires a great deal of professionalism and financial resources. I believe that we will carry out this program thanks to the use of newly purchased equipment.
After 2015, weâ€™ll start a second phase of our program, building new stations. We simply divided the program into parts, so it was more realistic, specific and short. But a large construction program includes the construction of additional underground, perhaps dozens of stations. This program should be implemented before 2030, and excellent subway stations should be built throughout our city.
