Totally 84 criminal investigations are underway now, said Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov addressing the anti-corruption forum, APA reports.
Garalov said Anti-Corruption Office under the Prosecutor General launched investigation of 388 criminal cases concerning 700 people in 2005-2011. The Office of Prosecutor General established hotline call service 161 within the anti-corruption measures. It has received 3700 calls and 1200 appeals during the first quarter of 2011â€.
The Prosecutor General said serious criminal cases were investigated by the Anti-Corruption Office and small issues were considered by the district prosecutor offices and relevant agencies.
