Ombudsperson meets with Council of Europe representative in Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsperson) Elmira Suleymanova met with the representative of the Council of Europe in Azerbaijan Konstantin Yerokostopoulos and head of the Council of Europeâ€™s political advising and program coordination department Daniil Khoshabo, who visited the country to introduce him, press service of the Ombudspersonâ€™s Office told APA. Suleymanova said since first days of her activity, her office has established mutual relationship with the international organizations, including the Council of Europe and stressed the necessity of the development of this cooperation. She also noted the importance of the determination of priorities of further cooperation.
The head of the Council of Europe Office in Azerbaijan appreciated the useful activity of the Azerbaijani Ombudsperson on the protection of human rights and her experience in this field and showed interest to the exchange of ideas and information.
