Ombudsperson meets with British Chamber of Lords member

Baku â€“ APA. Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova met with the member of the British Chamber of Lords and Azerbaijan-UK friendship group, chairwoman of the UN Women Leadersâ€™ Council, Baroness Mary Goudie. The guest took interest in human rights activities in Azerbaijan, press service of the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsperson) told APA. Baroness Goudie was informed about the authorities, mandate and activity of the Ombudspersonâ€™s institution. The Commissioner informed her that her institution took part in the EU projects, including Twinning and Eastern Partnership projects and these relations will be developed in the future.
Baroness Goudie called the Ombudspersonâ€™s institution as an important organization in defending human rights.
