Hotline service at Azerbaijan General Prosecutor Officeâ€™s Department to Combat Corruption receives appeals related to employees of all government organizations and law-enforcement agencies

Kamran Aliyev said hotline service at the Azerbaijan General Prosecutor Officeâ€™s Department to Combat Corruption received appeals related to employees of all government organizations and law-enforcement agencies. Regarding the appeals about the staff members of the prosecutorâ€™s office, Aliyev said they had internal investigation department, which is struggling against the negative cases in the law-enforcement, especially public prosecution bodies. The department is objectively and fairly investigates the appeals related to the public prosecution officers.

He said the Department to Combat Corruption had an authority to conduct investigations in the army, but added that there is a special organization â€“ Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office â€“ to conduct investigation in this field.

Aliyev his department had new responsibility that changes in the legislation authorized it to conduct operational-investigative measures against the corruption. The department will carry out operational searches, including hearing of phone conversations.
