Azerbaijani human rights defender: “Minister Ramil Usubov said to me that the uncoordinated actions would be prevented”

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Chairman of Azerbaijan Committee against Torture Elchin Behbudov met with interior minister Ramil Usubov, Behbudov told APA. The committee chairman said that at the meeting they hold discussions on human rights and freedoms: “The minister said to me that the uncoordinated actions would be prevented”.

The minister told the human rights defender that the buildings for Absheron district Police Office and Sabunchu district Police Department of Baku will be constructed and put in commission till the end of this year: “Expressing his position to the information on the great number of police in Azerbaijan, the minister noted Azerbaijan has the lowest number of police among CIS countries”.

Behbudov also noted Usubov’s interest in the monitoring held by him in police offices and said that if the law violation were found, they would be punished.
