General Prosecutor Office: “Six were arrested and one declared wanted due to Mur-Ay Ltd’s criminal caseâ€
According to the decision of the Sabayil district court, the Ministry of Taxes was urged to inspect the fulfillment of tax legislation by the company.
On February 14, 2011, members of the organized criminal group - deputy director of “Azerbaijan†printing house Mammadbeyli Galib Mammad, Mur-Ay Ltd’s deputy chairman Sultanov Beybala Gabil, Mur-Ay Ltd’s accountant Mukhtarov Novruz Shukur, director of the company Elkhan Huseynov’s unofficial assistant Sohbatov Vagif Mehdikhan, sale manager Agayev Shahriyar Meykhosh and Safarov Seyfaddin Adalat were arrested for pre-trial attention by the court decision facing charges under the above-mentioned article.
The court made decision about the pre-trial detention of Mur-Ay Ltd’s director Huseynov Elkhan Balkhan under article 178.3.2, but he avoided the investigation and therefore he was declared wanted.
Intensive investigative actions and operational search operations are continued currently on this criminal case and all necessary measures are taken according to the legislation to compensate damages on the ordinary citizens.
Sultanov also said that the citizens swindled by GEN Ltd and Naciba Ltd (construction companies) were received by the General Prosecutor and Interior Minister many times and Baku City Executive Power and other executive organizations are taking necessary measures to solve the problems of those citizens. More than 200 people affected by the criminal actions of Mur-Ay Ltd’s managers have been received by department chief of the General Prosecutor Office Kamal Orujov, department chiefs of Baku City Executive Power Ali Asgarov and Namig Mammadov, as well as chief investigator of the general investigative office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mohubbat Huseynov on February 28 and they were informed about the investigative process and measures taken for compensation of the damages they faced as a result of swindlers’ criminal actions.
