Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov received Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar and the delegation accompanying him, Interior Ministry’s press service told APA. Ramil Usubov mentioned that the two countries have centuries-long relations and said the results of the integration processes between Azerbaijan and Iran are observed in all spheres – economy, education, culture and other spheres. Minister said under the present circumstances law-enforcement bodies have great responsibility. Ramil Usubov noted that such meetings offered positive opportunities for uniting efforts to combat transnational organized crimes and international terrorism and expressed his hope that the visit will serve the expansion of cooperation and integration processes between the countries.

The Minister noted that the agreements regulating the cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries are of great importance and create conditions to extend and strengthen the future relations. Ramil Usubov said Azerbaijani Interior Ministry is interested in extending the cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries. The visitors were informed about the socio-political and criminogenic situation in Azerbaijan.

Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar said that such visits, meetings and fulfillment of the agreements are in line with the interests of the two friendly countries having same religion, similar culture and historical roots and help improve the security, military, economic relations.
The sides also discussed a number of issues of mutual interests and signed a protocol of meeting.
