She noted with regret that although it was suggested to US congressmen over putting the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict up for discussion today during yesterday’s plenary meeting, it was not happened, “Nonetheless, we hope that this issue will be put up for discussion as a resolution during next sessions”.
Bahar Muradova expressed hope that the newly established Baku Group wouldn’t have the same fortune as the Minsk Group: “We hope the Baku Group will soon reach the goal. We don’t want two fraternal countries – Ukrainians and Russians to become enemies to stand and have hatred against each other. We’ve been observing such conflicts for years, and their negative consequences have already formed an undesired immunity for us”.
Bahar Muradova also stated Azerbaijan’s proposal on the newly established mission: “We’re going to take an active part in the Baku Group for a speedy solution of the Ukrainian crisis. We recognize Ukraine’s territorial integrity and want the crisis to be resolved peacefully”.
