Press service of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in the United Arab Emirates told APA that Gahraman said the economic relations are developing rapidly.
The diplomat said that there is great potential for the development of relations in other spheres, the Azerbaijan-UAE intergovernmental commission held 4 meetings over the past 5 years, the next meeting is planned to be held at the end of this year and recalled that Dubai Chamber of Commerce opened its first regional office in Baku covering all the CIS space.
Gahraman emphasized that Azerbaijan appreciates the UAE’s stable position regarding the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and informed Al Jarman about the resolution process of the conflict. The ambassador said that establishment of the second Armenian state in the Azerbaijani territory is unacceptable.
Newly appointed Al Jarman in his turn said that he will do his best for the development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and praised the level of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting the sides reached to an agreement on political consultations between the foreign ministries, spoke about balanced foreign policy of Azerbaijan as well as the importance of TAP and TANAP gas projects for Europe especially in light of the events in Ukraine.
