Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli - APA. The first plenary meeting of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly’s (PACE) summer session has held discussions on the activity of the assembly’s Bureau and Standing Committee.
APA’s European correspondent reports that the document on “proposal for resolution on political prisoners in Azerbaijan” developed by Irish Deputy Michael McNamara was put to the vote in the discussions. 37 Assembly members voted for, 32 members against and 10 members were neutral for the document. The document will be considered by the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights of PACE.
