Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The draft resolution entitled "Helsinki 40: Towards Human Security for All" discussed as part of the 23rd session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Baku was approved. It was discussed at the meetings of the Committee on Political Affairs and Security and the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions.
Numerous amendments proposed to the draft resolution were adopted. . It also emphasizes the importance of the fight against threats such as cyberwarf and terrorism and their prevention. Moreover, the resolution includes new challenges for prevention of illicit arms traffic, which has widely spread in conflict zones and leads to numerous civilian casualties.
The resolution was approved through voting.
