Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. The amendments on referendum and Crimea made to the draft resolution entitled "Helsinki 40: Towards Human Security for All" were approved at the meeting of the OSCE PA’s Committee on Political Affairs and Security.
The amendment proposed by the Russian side on referendum confirms the rights of citizens of member states to hold a referendum within the national legislation in accordance with international standards.
The amendment on Crimea was proposed by the Ukrainian delegation. In the amendment, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly calls on Russia to put an end the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
