The Lithuanian minister said he is content with the results of the meetings he held during his visit to Azerbaijan.

“We are thinking of using bilateral dialogue to increase the effectiveness of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation. The long-term dialogue between the European Union and the member states of the Eastern Partnership must produce some good results. We see our role in this matter”, he said.

The minister also said representatives from up to 30 Lithuanian companies attended the Azerbaijan-Lithuania business forum.

“The assembly discussed up to 10 different segments from trade and economy to culture and sports. And a cooperation protocol was signed between Shamkir and Vilnius. We’re stepping forward. Each such a meeting contributes to the development of our cooperation. I’m happy that we, apart from finding a common language, have also managed to create a favorable environment for mutual understanding and cooperation”, he stressed.

The minister said the trade turnover has lately increased by 40%, emphasizing that a sufficiently high rate of growth has been seen. He then expressed hopefulness that even greater advancements would be achieved.
