Azerbaijan-based NGOs protest against article published on Turkish Sabah newspaper

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Azerbaijan National NGO Forum has protested against introduction of so-called Nagorno Karabakh regime as an “independent state” by Turkish newspaper “Sabah”.

The forum told APA that the statement says Azerbaijan’s Nagorno Karabakh territory has been showed in the article titled “It has three capitals, 11 official languages and international marches in 5 languages!” as “Nagorno Karabakh Republic”:

“We, Non-Government Organizations protest against introduction of Azerbaijan’s territory as “Nagorno Karabakh Republic” in the newspaper published in the brother country. We think that such articles serve those who want to damage relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan”.

The statement also says that the Forum considers introduction of so-called and terrorist group, which is not recognized in the world, as an independent state in the Sabah newspaper as a threat against Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity: “With this article, Sabah newspaper insulted spirit of ten thousands of Azerbaijani martyrs, millions of Azerbaijanis and Turks around the world. We demand leadership of Sabah newspaper to apologize Azerbaijani people, refute the statement”.
