Baku. Gulnar Bashirova - APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov has met with the delegation led by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the ministry told APA.
The sides discussed the final preparations for the first Global Forum on Youth Policies to be held in Baku on October 28-30. The minister expressed gratitude to the secretary general for his support to hold the Forum. Rahimov also provided detailed information on the youth and sport policy in Azerbaijan, achievements and future plans in these fields.
The minister also gave information about the First European Games to be held in Baku in 2015 and preparations for it, stressing the essence and importance of holding the games in the European continent for the first time.
The UN Secretary-General welcomes Azerbaijan’s hosting international events on various topics.
