Elmar Mammadyarov receives copies of credentials from Russian and Moroccan ambassadors

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received copies of credentials from newly-appointed ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin, press service of the foreign ministry told APA. The ambassador noted that relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are in the high level and he will work for further deepening and strengthening of relations during his office. The ambassador said he was in Azerbaijan for the first time and he had good impressions about the country. Minister Mammadyarov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment. He highly appreciated the Azerbaijan-Russian cooperation and emphasized the purposefulness of useful using of all opportunities for more deepening of the relations. Elmar Mammadyarov said Russia played important role in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and quoted the ideas described in the joint statements and other documents signed by the Azerbaijani and Russian presidents about the soonest solution to the conflict on the basis of principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, as well as UN and OSCE resolutions.

Then the diplomats discussed the prospects of development of cooperation between the two countries, as well as issues about the Caspian Sea and the Caucasian region.

Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received on Sunday newly-appointed ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Hasan Hami. The ambassador submitted copy of his credentials. He said he was very pleased with his appointment to our country and would contribute to the further extension of relations between the countries during his diplomatic mission in Baku. Minister Mammadyarov congratulated the diplomat and expressed satisfaction with the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco. The minister said he was hopeful for useful using of all opportunities for further extensions of relations. Then the parts discussed the bilateral relations and other issues caused the mutual interests.
