Azerbaijani Consulate in Los Angeles commemorates 20 January tragedy

Los Angeles. Vugar Masimogluâ€“APA. A commemoration ceremony on the anniversary of the 20 January tragedy took place at the Azerbaijanâ€™s Consulate General in Los Angeles. Representatives of the Azerbaijani community in the Southern California attended the event, APA reports. â€œThe Way Led to 20 Januaryâ€, a documentary produced by Lider TV was shown at the event. In his address, Consul General Elin Suleymanov emphasized that 20 January was a tragic day in the history of Azerbaijani People and at the same time it was a start of struggle for the independence. Our compatriots shared their painful memories about the 20 January events. President of US-Azerbaijan Council Javid Huseynov, â€œAzerbaijan Internationalâ€ editor-in-chief Betty Blair and other activists of the community attended the event.
