New cottages built for IDPs in Mtskheta region of Georgia

New cottages have been built in Tserovani village of Georgiaâ€™s Mtskheta region for the families displaced from Gori during Russiaâ€™s military operations in Georgia. APAâ€™s Georgia bureau reports that the IDPs celebrated the New Year in new houses. There are 2000 such houses in Tserovani village. â€œNew energyâ€ construction company built the houses in line with modern standards. Director of the company Zurab Chikya said each cottage cost 28,000 GEL.
The IDPS themselves also worked in the construction. The residents told APAâ€™s correspondent that the houses were low-quality and there were no electric lines in the houses.
1000-pupil secondary school, trade center, plant producing paper and other administrative buildings will be opened in Tserovani village in future. Mtskheta executive office finances the project.
