Azerbaijan and Turkey conduct High-Level Military Dialogue

Deputy Chief of Turkish General Staff, Army General Hasan Igsiz leads Turkish delegation.
The delegation led by Hasan Igsiz have today visited Heydar Aliyevâ€™s grave in the Alley of Honor, Martyrsâ€™ Alley and grave of Turkish martyrs. Igsiz did not provide information about concrete issues to be debated during the visit. Igsiz only said that issues of mutual interest on defense sector between the two countries would be debated within the framework of the military dialogue.
Igsiz stressed that military cooperation between the two countries expanded and Turkey would assist Azerbaijan henceforth.
â€œAzerbaijani Armed Forces are coincided with NATO standards. We are satisfied with it. We will render further assistance in this fieldâ€, he said.
The delegation includes high-ranking officials of Turkish General Staff, Land Forces, Air Defense Forces, Navy, Gendarme, National Defense Ministry and Defense Industry Ministry.
Two-day Military Dialogue will cover prospects of cooperation on defense and defense industry.
Azerbaijani Defense Ministry and Turkish General Staff signed an agreement on Duty Instructions to hold Azerbaijan -Turkey High-Level Military Dialogue in Baku on February 26, 2007.
