Belgian Senate holds hearings on Azerbaijan

On the initiative of the World Azerbaijanis’ Congress Belgian Senate held hearings on the themes “Nagorno Karabakh problem in international law”, “180th anniversary of Turkmenchay treaty” and “Separated nation”. Press service of World Azerbaijanis’ Congress told APA that co-chair of the congress Sabir Rustamkhanli gave information about the organization and Azerbaijan’s problems. He said Turkmenchay treaty had a negative influence on the history and fate of Azerbaijani people. The co-chair of the congress also spoke about the work done for Azerbaijan’s integration into Europe.


Other co-chair of World Azerbaijanis’ Congress Firudin Perviznia gave information about South Azerbaijan. He said over 35 million Azerbaijani Turks lived in Iran.

Azerbaijan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Belgium Emin Eyyubov spoke about the necessary activities carried out for Azerbaijan’s promotion.

The hearings continued with speeches around the themes.
