Iran executes citizen convicted of spying for Israel

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“APA. Ali Ashtari, an Iranian citizen convicted of spying on his country for Israel, was executed, APA reports quoting Associated Press as saying that formerly the owner of an electronics import business, the 45-year-old resident of Tehran Ashtari was convicted on June 30 of delivering information about the Iranâ€™s military facilities to Mossad agents. He headed the electronic equipment company for 17 years and distributed equipments among the Iranâ€™s military facilities too. It was reported that Ashtari was recruited by Mossad agents during one of his trips abroad and the agents paid him for information. He was arrested after three years of spying for Israel in 2007.
