US Secretary of State meets Azerbaijani civil society representatives

Executive Director of the Transparency Azerbaijan Public Union Rena Safaraliyeva told APA that the meeting was held at the US Embassy in Baku. Executive Director of the Transparency Azerbaijan Public Union Rena Safaraliyeva, head of the Economic and Social development Center Vugar Bayramli, head of the Public Resources Monitoring Center Ingilab Ahmadov, coordinator of the National Budget Group Galib Abbaszadeh and head of the Transparency Program of the Open Society Institute Fidan Bagirova attended the meeting.

The issues kindling Clintonâ€™s interest, including the implementation of the Open Government Project in Azerbaijan, US support of Azerbaijan in this project, as well as e-government issues were discussed at the meeting.

Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and budget issues were also in the focus of attention during the meeting.
