Conference on Perspectives of NATO-Azerbaijan Partnership to be held in Baku

Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. On 8 of June 2012, an international conference on the topic: “Azerbaijan and NATO Partnership after NATO Chicago Summit: New perspectives for cooperation” to be held in Baku by the Embassy of Romania, in its capacity of NATO Contact Point Embassy to the Republic of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with Human Rights Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani Lawyers Confederation, Eurasian Lawyers Association and NATO PDD.

By this conference, the organizers mean to contribute to understanding and identification of mutual expectations of both Azerbaijan and NATO beyond the NATO Chicago Summit. 2012 NATO Summit decisions and its implications are of high interest for the academic community of Azerbaijan, that’s why, within the discussion the participants will focus on those issues that define an important part of the successful cooperation between the two sides. It is expected that the conference will allow a better understanding of the full spectrum of partnership relations between Azerbaijan and NATO. The event is co-sponsored by NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division and Romanian Embassy as NATO CPE in Azerbaijan.
