Banquet on 19th Caspian International Oil and Gas Exhibition organized in Baku - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Victoria Dementieva â€“ APA. A banquet on the 19th Caspian International Oil and Gas Exhibition has been organized today in Baku. APA reports that British ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Bateman and US ChargÃ© dâ€™Affaires in Azerbaijan Adam Sterling delivered speeches in the opening of the vent.

In his speech, Peter Bateman said that June 5 was a great day for the Great Britain: â€œThe 60th anniversary of the accession of Great Britainâ€™s queen to the throne is celebrated that day. This year was also specific for Azerbaijan. The country hosted Eurovision Song Contest and chaired the UN Security Council. Azerbaijan and Great Britain have strong relations. Todayâ€™s exhibition is an element of this cooperationâ€.

The ambassador reminded that 45% of foreign investments in Azerbaijan fall into share the Great Britain: â€œOnly BP has invested capital in amount of USD 35 bln to Azerbaijan since 1994 up to nowâ€.

In his speech, Adam Sterling highly assessed Azerbaijan-US bilateral relations. He noted that the meeting of US-Azerbaijan economic partnership council held in Washington creates conditions for deepening of relations between the two countries: â€œOne of the main topics of that meeting was an energy issue. This issue remains as a main element of cooperation between the two countriesâ€.
