Press service of the ministry told APA that the minister welcomed the guest, noted the existence of deep and wide relations between Azerbaijan and the OIC and underlined that Azerbaijan was a part of the Islamic Nation.
In his turn, OIC Secretary General Ihsanoglu underlined the significance of Azerbaijan-OIC relations and spoke about Azerbaijan’s great and significant role in the OIC.
During the meeting the sides shared their serious concern over Islamophobia that is increasing in the world ad underlined the necessity of taking joint measures for combating it.
They also exchanged view on problems faced by the Islamic world, Azerbaijan’s role in restoration of peace in the world and contributions to peace in Afghanistan, noted holding future discussions on the issue of extension of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OIC in education sphere.
