The newspaper says that Bryza will work in the office of US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon. The news says that US former ambassador to Armenia Mary Yovanovich will support Bryza’s new appointment. Now Yovanovich works as Deputy Assistant of the US Secretary of State.
US former ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza had to return to Washington early January after one-year diplomatic mission in Baku. The reason of it was putting a veto by pro-Armenian senators to Bryza’s approval for ambassador post.
