Political analyst Vladimir Sajin: â€œWar with Iran doesnâ€™t benefit anyone; US want to change Islamic power in Iranâ€

The processes around Iran donâ€™t benefit to US, Russia, Europe and Israel, Vladimir Sajin, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy, said in the conference â€œThe Middle East: Iran - purpose or chance for war in the regionâ€ hosted by RIA Novosty agency, APA correspondent reports from Moscow. According to him, Russia and China voted for UN resolution against Iranâ€™s uranium enrichment program. â€œIt means that Iranâ€™s nuclear security is also important for Russia and China, like US and Europe. But the war with Iran doesnâ€™t benefit anyone. The US wants to change Islamic power in Iran. Therefore I consider that the war is not expected till Iranâ€™s presidential electionsâ€.

The analyst also said that the oil embargo against will not be deadly for Iran: â€œ15-20% of Iranâ€™s oil is being exported to Europe. It means that Iran will lose 12-20% of oil incomes. Arab countries promised to compensate oil supply to Europeâ€.

Iranâ€™s statement on closing the strait of Hormuz if the sanctions are imposed against the oil export indicate that Iran is ready to take a great military step, said political analyst, member of Public Council under the Russian Defense Ministry, director general of magazine â€œNational Defenseâ€ Igor Korotchenko. According to him the main purpose of US is to change Islamic power in Iran. â€œWar doesnâ€™t benefit to US. â€œ The US wants to weaken Iran socio-economically by the European sanctions. It is necessary for Russia that no military operations start against Iran. Therefore Russia and China shouldnâ€™t remain indifferent to the developments around Iranâ€.
