Rauf Denktash commemorated in Baku - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. Founder and first president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Rauf Denktash, who died on January 13, is commemorated in Baku. The commemoration ceremony is held in the office of the TRNC representation in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Turkish businessmen working in Azerbaijan, representatives of the local public organizations, as well as veterans of Karabakh attend the ceremony to pay tribute to Rauf Denktsah. Visitors write cordial words in the memorial book opened by the representation.

Head of TNRC representation Zeki Gazioglu told APA that Denktash was a well-known figure not only of the Northern Cyprus, but all Turkic world. â€œWe lost one of the well-known statesmen of the Turkic world. Rauf Denktash left a history, a state behind. He led the poor, tired and divided community to the state status. This was a big achievementâ€.

The commemoration ceremony will continue until January 20.
