Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament: We highly appreciate Koreaâ€™s support for Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity

Baku â€“ APA. Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov received the delegation led by speaker of Koreaâ€™s National Assembly Park Hee-tae, the parliamentâ€™s press service told APA.

Welcoming the guest Ogtay Asadov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the improvement of the political, economic and cultural cooperation with Korea. Up to now, the two countries have signed 44 documents covering various spheres of cooperation.
â€œAzerbaijanâ€™s economic potential enables further enhancement of our cooperation,â€ he said.

Speaker said Azerbaijan, which is developing rapidly, has Nagorno Karabakh problem.
â€œWe support fair resolution of the conflict within the framework of the norms of the international law. But Armenia, which is ignoring the decisions and resolutions of the UN, PACE and the European Parliament, continues pursuing aggressive policy. We believe that the conflict will be solved soon with the support of the international community, including South Korea. We highly appreciate Koreaâ€™s support for Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity,â€ he said.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm reception, Park Hee-tae said he is satisfied with his visit to Azerbaijan and the meetings held here.
â€œEnhancement of the relations with Azerbaijan in various spheres, including education, tourism, would be favorable for both sides,â€ he said.

Vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Bahar Muradova, head of the working group on the interparliamentary relations with South Korea Khanlar Fatiyev, head of the parliamentâ€™s administration Safa Mirzayev, Azerbaijanâ€™s ambassador to South Korea Rovshan Jamshidov and other officials attended the meeting.
