Indonesian parliamentarians visit Azerbaijan

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. A delegation of the Indonesian parliament headed by vice speaker Pramono Anung Wibowo is on a visit to Azerbaijan. According to APA, the delegation has visited Heydar Aliyevâ€™s memorial at the Alley of Honor. Pramono Anung Wibowo told journalists that Azerbaijan has established close cooperation with Indonesia since its early independence. He said Indonesia was always supporting Azerbaijanâ€™s fair position on Nagorno Karabakh conflict. â€œThere is close relationship with not only between the governments, but also between the peoples. Both countries have similar democratic institutions. Azerbaijan opened its embassy in Indonesia and we want Indonesia to open the embassy in Azerbaijan too. Azerbaijan is an oil country and Indonesia also has oil industry and both countries can establish cooperation in this field as wellâ€. The Indonesian delegation will hold series official meetings during the visit.
