Azerbaijani and Vietnamese Foreign Affairs Ministries sign cooperation protocol

Baku â€“ APA. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Memmedyarov received Vice-Premier of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who is on the official visit to Azerbaijan, Hoang Chung Hay, APA reports quoting the Press Service of the MFA of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting H. C. Hay expressed his content of being in Azerbaijan and said that over the historical period two nations had the close relations. The Vietnamese official underscored the current promotion of his compatriots, who during the Soviet Union governing studied in Azerbaijani universities, to the development of Vietnam. The Vice-Primer also said that two countries have extended potential for development of the cooperation.
In turn, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammedyarov said that such visits intensify the relationships between two countries and enable to extend the cooperation in educational, petrochemical, cultural and other spheres.

At the end of the meeting deputy ministers of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and Vietnam signed the cooperation protocols on â€œVisa-free motion of Azerbaijani and Vietnamese citizens possessing the diplomatic, service or official passportsâ€. Deputy Minister of foreign affairs Khalaf Khalafov signed the protocol on behalf of the government of Azerbaijan. Deputy Minister of foreign affairs Nguyen Kuok Kiong signed the protocol on behalf of the government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
