Azerbaijan and Mauritania sign two official documents

Baku - APA. Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov received Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mrs. Naha Mint Mouknass, Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told APA. Expressing satisfaction with her first visit to Azerbaijan, Mouknass has highly estimated the current state of Azerbaijan - Mauritania relations and said that there were big opportunities for further extension of relations in all spheres.

Speaking about the importance of joint position of Azerbaijan and Mauritania in different issues within the framework of international organizations, Mammadyarov noted the necessity of Mauritaniaâ€™s support for Azerbaijani fair position at the discussions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework of international organizations.

At the end of the meeting, both ministers signed "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in cultural sphere between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Islamic Republic of Mauritania" and "Protocol on Cooperation between the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritaniaâ€.
