Romanian Prime Minister participates in event on Nowruz holiday in Bucharest

Nowruz holiday was solemnly celebrated in Bucharest with the support of Azerbaijani embassy in Romania and Romanian representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, APA reports. Ambassador Eldar Hasanov said Nowruz holiday has a special place among customs and traditions of Azerbaijani people. According to the ambassador, it is not accidental that the resolution on the â€œInternational Nowruz Dayâ€ adopted in the UN General Assembly was initiated by Azerbaijan and the resolution declared March 21 International Nowruz Day.

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc, first deputy-chairman of the parliament Ioan Oltean, presidential adviser on national security matters Iulian Fota, other officials, senators, parliamentarians, famous religious, culture and art figures, ambassadors and diplomats of foreign countries accredited in Bucharest, Iranian Azerbaijanis, representatives of Turkish and Tatar community also attended the event.
