The Minister: Azerbaijani-Slovakian relations to be developed

Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. â€œAzerbaijan and Slovakia decided further to develop bilateral relationsâ€, said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov at a briefing held for journalists after his meeting with the Slovakian counterpart Miroslav Laichak, APA reports. The minister said Azerbaijan and Slovakia had high-level political relations, but his counterpart visited Baku together with a large group of business people due to the lack of business relations.

Miroslav Laichak said that there were Slovakian companies operate in Azerbaijan. They are engaging in road construction. Baku-Airport highway was constructed by a Slovakian company. The minister said his country was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fields of energy, agriculture, power stations, protection of environment and construction.
