Valeri Chechelashvili: Establishment of GUAM peacekeeping forces is not on the agenda for now

At present this issue is not on the agenda of GUAM,â€ GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili told APAâ€™s Georgia correspondent.

Secretary General said GUAM statute does not ban establishment of peacekeeping forces, but GUAM member states do not have such a priority.
â€œIf in the future presidents and foreign ministers of GUAM member states decide to consider the issue, it can be brought to the agenda again. Now we are engaged in extending relations on certain spheres within the framework of the program adopted in Baku summit held on June 18. 2006,â€ he said.

Valeri Chechelashvili also publicized the spheres that the cooperation projects covered.
â€œThese projects cover economy, trade, transport, science, culture, tourism and struggle against organized crimes. Now we have directed our activity towards cooperation in these spheres,â€ he said.
