Mehdi Safari: The meeting on setting the quota for sturgeons in the Caspian Sea will be held in Tehran late in March

â€œI hope protocols will be added to the convention signed on Caspianâ€™s ecology, the issues on the Caspianâ€™s bioresources will be solved, results will be produced. The littoral states should closely cooperate in this issue so that the additional protocols are signed,â€ he said.

Mehdi Safari added that meeting on setting the quota for hunting sturgeons in the Caspian Sea will be held in Tehran late in March.
â€œWe hope the quota for the sturgeons will be specified at the meeting,â€ he said.

Meeting on discussing the draft agreement on mutual activity in ensuring security in the Caspian Sea is being held in Baku. The meeting will last till March 12. The draft agreement on â€œMutual activity in ensuring security in the Caspian Sea through border, customs and interior bodiesâ€ is being discussed at the meeting. The discussions are held on the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Caspian states and with participation of the authorized representatives of the related bodies.

Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is expected to make a keynote speech at the meeting.
