Former Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan: The Jews take vengeance on Turkey for its policy with respect to Israel
“In Davos forum Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan voiced serious accusations against Israel concerning the developments in Palestine and left the forum. At the same time Turkey’s mediation in the negotiations between Syria and Israel was stopped. Turkish TV series Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley of the Wolves) caused tension in the diplomatic relations with Israel. Moreover, the two countries also had other obvious problems. There are enough Jewish congressmen. Taking into account that Howard Berman, who was zealous for the passage of the resolution, is Jew, the abovementioned influenced the attitude towards Turkey. Taking into account that the Jewish lobby did not support the Turkish Diaspora to prevent the passage of the resolution, we can say that the congressmen of Jewish origin and the lobby take vengeance on Turkey for its policy with respect to Israel,†he said.
Former ambassador said Turkey’s steps also hurt the US. According to Efshar Suleymani, some steps taken by Turkey have caused discontent of the US and official Washington wants to reproach Ankara.
“Meanwhile, Erdogan deepened Turkey’s relations with Iran. Though while visiting Egypt and other countries Barack Obama said he would pursue good policy with respect to Muslims, we can see it only in words. The foreign policy of the US is indeed severe with regard to Muslims. We see it in Palestine, occupied territories of Azerbaijan, Lebanon and other places. Minsk Group does not ensure Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. None of the four UN resolutions on Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity is being implemented. I think the US will continue this policy. But official Washington should establish proper and faithful relations with the Muslim world. There is little, sometimes no mutual confidence among the Muslim states. Muslim countries should look at the policy of the US and western states, change their relations and support one another,†he said.
