The award â€œPerson of the Year - 2009â€ instituted by National Hero Chingiz Mustafayev Foundation and ANS Group of Companies was presented to Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, APA reports. Media representatives, parliamentarians and art figures attended the event. Vice-president of ANS Group of Companies Mirshahin Agayev said the award â€œPerson of the Yearâ€ is presented only to the persons functioning only for patriotism and people.

President of ANS Group of Companies Vahid Mustafayev noted the importance of increasing patriotism at the time when the lands are under occupation. He said Polad Bulbuloglu took steps for the restoration of justice in 2009.

Polad Bulbuloglu said Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh was formed and presented the money prize to the head of the community Bayram Safarov for spending it on IDPs.
â€œI am sure that the struggle will end with Azerbaijanâ€™s victory. We have no right to leave this problem for the future generations,â€ he said.

To date this award has been presented to Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov, the deceased President Heydar Aliyev, Japanese ambassador to Azerbaijan Toshiyuki Fujiwara, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazadeh, President Ilham Aliyev, artist Tahir Salahov.
