Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. EU Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg begins his visit to Azerbaijan. Hammarberg has already arrived in Baku, representation of the Council of Europe in Azerbaijan told APA.
The guest will meet with the President of Azerbaijan, ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Internal Affairs, Prosecutor General, Ombudsperson, head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, as well as representatives of the civil society. He will visit Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The visit will last until March 5. Hammarberg will hold a press conference on the results of his visit.
