The ambassador spoke about the car accident of Israeli embassy’s officers in Agsu.
“I am grateful to the officers of State Traffic Police, Interior Ministry, Foreign Ministry, Health Ministry, region hospital and Central Clinic Hospital for their help. The medical staff offered the perfect aid to the injured,” he said.

The ambassador said the accident happened on Sunday.
“Second secretary of the embassy Orea Barukh drove the car. His wife Avital Barukh and second secretary of the embassy Arezu Khersel were also in the car. As the airbag opened Orea Barukh was not almost injured. The accident happened when they were moving towards Ismayilli. The embassy’s car collided with a truck. Foggy weather caused the accident. The injured were taken to Shamakhy hospital, they were offered emergency aid, then they were brought to the Central Clinic in Baku,” he said.

Michael Lavon-Lotem said the character of the traumas were determined after the injured persons were examined.
“Bones of Arezu Khersel’s face were injured – some bones near nose, eye-pit were broken. Avital Barukh’s neck-bones were injured. All three Israeli citizens were sent to Israel. They were reexamined and the diagnosis of the Azerbaijanis doctors was proved,” he said.

Israeli ambassador said the health state of the injured is satisfactory.
“Avital Barukh is under medical control, she will be examined by an expert in two days. Arezu Khersel has been discharged, but she will be operated soon,” he said.
