GUAM Secretary General: â€œWe continue work for the UN General assembly to adopt the draft resolution on the protracted conflictsâ€

According to him, the draft resolution of GUAM that is on the agenda of the UN General Assembly is very important and the organization will continue efforts to consolidate the public opinion on this problem.

â€œThis is our joint draft and we will continue to protect it. We continue work in order to consolidate the support of the public opinion on our position on the protracted conflicts. Our position is based on the general norms and principles of the international law. We will do our best for the adoption of this draft resolution in the General Assembly. We know there will not be consensus because of some reasons. Some will always oppose the draft resolution, as not all countries or our neighbors obey the norms and principles of the international law,â€ he said.

Valeri Chechelashvili said the draft resolution may be put to the voting this year.
