Destination of US Congress allocations for separatist Nagorno Karabakh announced

According to him, US charge dâ€™affaires in Azerbaijan Donald Lu said in his answering letter that the US government didnâ€™t recognize so-called â€œNagorno Karabakh Republicâ€. â€œThe United States pursued this policy for many years and it has not been changed. The assistance allocated for Nagorno Karabakh has only humanitarian characterâ€.

The letter noted that these allocations were managed by not the so-called NKR administration, but by the international NGOs. â€œThese resources were spent to the mine-cleaning operations, restoration of houses and schools, as well as different humanitarian projects, including health in previous years. This year it will be spent to the mine-cleaning and water projects. Of course, the United States is allocating financial assistance to the internally displaced persons of Azerbaijan, who were forced to leave their homes as a result of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. These resources are also managed by the international NGOs and spent to the mine-cleaning, healthcare, restoration of schools and housesâ€.
